My family and I moved to Bonham in January of 2002 to follow the call of God to Boyd Baptist Church. My wife and I agree that these have been the most exciting days in all of our 26 years of ministry together in local churches. I am blessed beyond measure to serve God as Pastor of this wonderful church family. We are very excited about raising our four children here at Boyd because this is such a unique, thriving, dynamic church with a rich heritage of progressive growth.
This growth has come because of this church’s commitment to honor God’s Word and be obedient to God’s will. I am privileged to serve with a team of men who are each profoundly gifted and anointed in their own fields of ministry. We exist to “passionately LOVE, GLORIFY, and FOLLOW Jesus Christ and LEAD others to do the same.” Here at Boyd, we have a place for you. We invite you to come and experience the warmth, love, and joy of Jesus Christ. At this “Lighthouse of New Beginnings”, we feel sure you and your family can find a safe harbor…a refuge…from a dark and dying world. We look forward to serving and getting to know you!

Why God would desire that I be "connected" to Him in any form or fashion, I'll never fully understand! But since that is His heart's cry, it should be mine as well. "To passionately love, glorify, and follow Him, and lead others to do the same....every day!" This is not only the BBC Mission Statement, it is the "bulls eye" for every believer, and it is the heart beat of the BBC Worship & Discipleship Ministries.
To be connected to our Creator through prayer, Bible study, and radical obedience to His Word, captures the essence of biblical worship and true discipleship, and it always produces spiritual fruit in us and around us to the glory of God. Cathy and I want to be used by God at BBC to share His heart with everyone in our county and "to the ends of the earth" as God leads. We would love for you to know His love and be a part of our team!
