SAVED… as a young boy at Jefferson Street Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas.
CALLED…into a life of vocational ministry at the age of 18 while attending Midwestern State University.
MARRIED…to my soul-mate and best friend, Lissa on May 21, 1983.
LYNDSAY, 25, living in Irving,TX and currently employed @ FBC Arlington and Goodwill Ind. as a Job Coach. LAUREN, 22, of Bonham, Texas and employed by Fannin Bank. JOSH, 21, of Bonham, TX and married to Casey. They have a daughter (our first grandchild) named Rylie. LACY, 18, who is a Senior at Sam Rayburn High School. They are all strong in the faith and actively serving the Lord in various ways.
For the last 31 years I have been serving Southern Baptist churches in Texas. Since January, 2002 I have been blessed to serve this incredible congregation. I still believe that the brightest and best days for Boyd Baptist Church are just around the corner!
FFH, Casting Crowns, Matt Redman, Aaron Shust, Chris Tomlin, Kutless, Dove Brothers, Gaither Vocal Band, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney, Johnny Cash, Statler Brothers. (In other words, I love a lot of different kinds of music.)
Chillin’ with the “Fam,” discovering treasures in God’s Word, Tennis, Woodworking, Golf, Eating Out, Spy/Conspiracy Movies…and most recently, home improvement (we just bought a house!)

Why God would desire that I be "connected" to Him in any form or fashion, I'll never fully understand! But since that is His heart's cry, it should be mine as well. "To passionately love, glorify, and follow Him, and lead others to do the same....every day!" This is not only the BBC Mission Statement, it is the "bulls eye" for every believer, and it is the heart beat of the BBC Worship & Discipleship Ministries.
To be connected to our Creator through prayer, Bible study, and radical obedience to His Word, captures the essence of biblical worship and true discipleship, and it always produces spiritual fruit in us and around us to the glory of God. Cathy and I want to be used by God at BBC to share His heart with everyone in our county and "to the ends of the earth" as God leads. We would love for you to know His love and be a part of our team!
